Lower, but still above-average hurricane season predictions
Back in May, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicted yet another above-average number of storms in the Atlantic. NOAA has just released a revised estimate that slightly lowers the predicted number of tropical storms and hurricanes. But, it makes clear, the conditions are right for this to remain a season with an above-average number of storms.
