How do blood-donations work in your country ?
Just wondering... I went to give blood yesterday - which I do 4 times a year. 8) It led me to wonder how that works in other parts of the world... We in Belgium can give blood 4 times a year. It`s collected in small community-houses in different places in our village and there`s a collection once a week, every time on a different location coming back to the same location once a month. We don`t get real compensation for it, there are some small gifts you get if you go a couple of times (like towels or books or so) but there`s no money given. People who work for the Belgian government can get a day off from work for donating blood (yes, they spend half an hour in at the donation center and have a whole day off :shock: ) What about you ? Do you also give blood or are you afraid for the needle ? And how does it work in youor country ?.
