Iran to Pakistan
Hi, I am thinking about doing the overland route from Istanbul to Delhi, leaving in November 2006. All official reports say avoid SE Iran and its border with Pakistan (which is the route you have to take to do this trip). Normally I ignore these Foreign Office panic reports, but in this case, I am not sure. Has anyone done this route very recently who can advise on the security/safety issue.
