Less water but more canyon at Lake Powell
Back at the beginning of May, I wrote about water levels at Lake Powell, which at that point were low, exposing the red rock formations, cave drawings, and Native American and pioneer artifacts of Glen Canyon that had been underwater for decades. At the time, however, water levels were expected to rise as snowmelt filled the reservoir during the summer months. But that hasn't happened.
